Intensive Services Program (ISP) Informational Session

Houston
Arts Alliance is pleased to announce applications are now being
accepted for the FY09 Intensive Services Program (ISP) for
organizations that meet the criteria. The deadline is April 20, 2009.
Approximately 3-5 organizations will be selected to participate in this
program to begin in July 2009 and run through June 2010.
Purpose:
ISP seeks to build the organizational capacity
of small and mid-sized professional arts organizations in Houston. ISP facilitates these organizations’
artistic growth and strengthens them as channels for diverse cultural
expression for visitors and area residents. For the organizations selected for the program, Houston
Arts Alliance will provide funds in two phases:
I. Assessment:
ISP clients receive a management assessment performed by an arts
professional. A detailed, written
organizational development plan guides the services MODE provides to each arts
organization. Each report is specific to
the organization's vision, mission, and needs, and is carefully constructed to
increase organizational capacity. A
consultant acts as project manager guiding board and staff to completing all
tasks.
II. Implementation:
Once the work plan is developed, Houston Arts
Alliance will provide full or partial grant support for professional
specialists to assist the organization in completing the tasks identified in
the work plan.
